EURASIAN AND BALKAN COUNTRIES AGRICULTURAL JOURNALISTS FORUM HELD IN ANTALYA...

Turkish Guild of Agricultural Journalists (TGAJ) organized another international event in Antalya after last year's Middle East Agricultural Journalists Forum held in Istanbul. The Antalya Forum, convened with 35 colleagues from 22 countries, took four days between 04 - 08 November and highlighted the key points of agricultural journalism both abroad and in Turkey. Owen Roberts, President of IFAJ and Hugh Maynard, General Manager of IFAJ also participated in the event. During the itinerary international ag-journalists took the opportunity of visiting orchards, greenhouses along with agribusiness sites situated across Antalya region. Warm regards to IFAJ and thanks to all friends who honoured us by participating in the Forum.

As TGAJ, we are highly satisfied with the Forum either its participation level or outcomes of the event. In this framework we thank to Growtech Exhibition for their great support. On the other hand we have just started to prepare for a new press tour to be held in 2020 by now. See you next year then...

Kind regards...

İsmail Uğural

President of TGAJ

  1. The Turkish guild is serving a pivotal and vital role in helping develop a broad network of Middle East agricultural journalists. This well-organized, well-constructed forum was an ideal venue for discussing challenges and opportunities for agricultural journalists, as well as for showing the importance and diversity of Turkish agriculture to visiting journalists. Growtech, the event sponsor, not only supported the forum, but also engaged its top communications representatives to liaise with participating journalists and understand their interests and needs. As a result of the hard work by Ismail Ugural and members of the Turkish guild, the Middle East agricultural journalists' network has taken a significant step forward in bringing together prospective members and connecting globally with the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ).
