Fatma Güngör, United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Sustainable Land Management and Climate Friendly Agriculture Project Coordinator, said that within the scope of the project Konya-Karaman basin, 37 thousand hectares agricultural area, 25 thousand hectares forest area and 17 thousand hectares of damaged pasture area was rehabilitated. During her visit to a biogas plant on a farm in Konya, Güngör made an assessment to the AA correspondent for FAO's Sustainable Land Management and Climate Friendly Agriculture Project. Reminding that Turkey should be within the countries need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere in terms of Global Environment Facility (GEF), Güngör said, "Emission consisting of animal gases and methane gas under the project is aimed at preventing oscillation.
