The second phase of the FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme on Food and Agriculture kicked off as Turkey and Uzbekistan signed the project agreements Photo:©FAO/Sanobar Khudaybergenova 19 December 2019, Ankara, Turkey – The FAO Turkey Partnership Programme (FTPP) gained momentum with another signature ceremony held between FAO and Uzbekistan at Tashkent last month. Established in 2006, the FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme on Food and Agriculture (FTPP) focuses on achieving food security and combatting rural poverty in countries of Central Asia and Caucasus through projects operated at the national, multi-country and subregional level. Turkey has to date contributed USD 20 million to the programme and has committed itself for the second phase covering the period 2016-2020.
