Turkey realized exports of sugar and sugar products to 159 countries worth approximately 292 million dollars in the first half of this year. According to Turkey Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) data, Turkey's exports of sugar and sugar products continues rapid acceleration of the momentum cought in recent years. Turkey has achieved more revenue from exports of sugar and sugar confectionery approximately 8 million dollars compared to the first half of this year, January-June period last year. Sugar and sugar products imports decreased by 18 percent in the first 6 months of 2019 compared to the same period of the previous year, while exports increased by 2.8 percent.
