NİHAT ÇELİK: MEAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN RAMADAN PACKAGES

Turkey Sheep and Goat Breeders' Association (TÜDKİYEB) Chairman Nihat Çelik, during the conversation meeting with journalists, said that they were very pleased with Digital Agriculture Market (DİTAP) which will carry the entire chain of food production and consumption to the digital platform, to be put into force by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Stating that DİTAP will eliminate the intermediaries, especially in the red meat sector, Çelik noted,
"Carcass lamb meat, which comes out of the producer for 45 liras, is offered to consumers at prices ranging from 60 to 105 liras. Neither the manufacturer nor the citizen can win here, only the middleman. With this system, intermediaries will be completely eliminated."
