Noting that quality olives bring about quality oil, Alper Alhat said, "Turkey has the lowest olive oil consumption per capita among oil producing countries."   Alhat continued as follows: "In our country, 200 thousand tons of olive oil is produced throughout the year averagely while only 2 litres of oil is consumed per person. However, we have 80 million people and normally we should not be able to import olive oil. This is not the case because consumption is not increasing enough. Everyone should consume olive oil, which is rather rich in minerals with antioxidants and has the ability to renew cells. If you want to be healthy and fit, use olive oil for 3 meals." 12 COMPANIES FROM AKHİSAR TOOK PART IN WORLDFOOD ISTANBUL...

Food and agriculture sector of Akhisar stamped in WorldFood Istanbul... Akhisar, a district of Manisa province, marked the 27th International Food Products and Technologies Fair (WorldFood), the meeting point of the world food industry. 12 companies from Akhisar took part in the exhibition where more than a thousand brands participated, aiming to create a business volume of 500 million euros. The stand of 12 companies producing olives, olive oil and tomato paste welcomed thousands of visitors for 4 days. Akhisar left its mark on the WorldFood Fair 2019, which hosted 16 thousand 85 visitors from 133 countries last year. Akhisar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Akhisar Commodity Exchange participated in the event with 12 Akhisar brands. Akhisar businessmen did not leave their district's brands alone. Akhisar calls for support for olives... There exist 190 million olive trees in Turkey. Akhisar, a county of Manisa province, hosts 14 millions of total by itself.  Stating that they demand support for the increase in production of olives, Akhisar Commodity Exchange Chairman Alper Alhat said, "We have been trying to do our best in order to be able to produce the best olives." Akhisar Commodity Exchange Chairman Alper Alhat expressed pointed out that they work with the aim of target getting 'Quality Production-Quality Product'.
