BİROL CELEP: TMO SHOULD KEEP ON BEING AN ACTIVE PLAYER IN THE MARKET

Exporters enjoy nowadays that the price of raisins, one of the most important agricultural products in Turkey, exceeds 2 dollars per kg after three years. Exporters demand from Turkish Grain Board to intervene in the market in order not the average export prices fall below realized the level of last season. Meanwhile the yield is expected to increase slightly compared to last year in 2019/20 season. Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters Association Chairman Birol Celep, in his written statement, said that falling down from the prices of 2018/19 season would mean putting money importer's pocket and transferring resources abroad in vain.
