HİLMİ SÜREK: TARİŞ HAS DETERMINED 20 TL PRICE TO OLIVE OIL


Tariş Olive and Olive Oil Association Chairman Hilmi Sürek, announced that the price of 20 TL is a figure that will please the producer, ’’Our Olive Oil Association has always shown that it has been a duty for us to stand by our producers," he said.

Hilmi Sürek stated that they have determined the price level which aims to please the producer by evaluating all the possibilities of the institution in the best way.

Sürek noted that their aim is to protect the value of the product and not to victimize the producer and said, "Taking into account the price evaluations from our cooperative regions, the yield and price levels of the domestic and foreign markets, we have started to purchase at a price that we think will please our producer. In the following process, we will act according to market developments. Our main goal is not to sacrifice our producer while preserving the value of the product. In line with this aim, the campaign we started to get auspicious for our entire community.

Last year we conducted a successful buying campaign. We completed the 2018-2019 campaign period with our producer partners in terms of both purchases and sales. This year, taking into account the region, country and world production and price formations, as a result of meticulous evaluations extra virgin olive oil by 20 TL price and thus we began to purchase."

TARİŞ HAS A STRONG STRUCTURE IN THE REGION

Hilmi Sürek explained that Tariş Olive and Olive Oil Association has a strong structure in the region with all its cooperatives and 28 thousand partners and emphasized that the most important strength of its partners is the quality of olive oil, which is the product of its partners.

"We wish to have a positive reflection of the purchase price announced by our Association not only to its partners but also to all producers. Recalling the 2019-2020 season in Turkey's estimated that 225 thousand tons of olive oil yields," Sürek also noted.

''Turkey is the homeland of olive oil. This year we will have a good season both in terms of yield and quality. As the Association, we will use the Tariş brand only in the domestic and foreign markets in the best way. Our goal is to make the best use of our producer's products in the wavy and occasionally uncertain olive oil market and to increase the profits," he added...
