IFAJ 2020 HEADS TO DENMARK; AG-JOURNALISTS MEET IN THE WORLD CONGRESS...

The preparations for International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) 2020 in Denmark are fully underway and have been so for more than a year.

More than 20 members of Danske Fødevare- og Landbrugsjournalister (The Danish Guild) have volunteered to be part of the planning. Most of them are well underway with the planning of the many different tours to farms, research institutions, companies and so forth.

A total of 16 different tours are spread out over three days, all of which are based on the overall theme Farming today for the society of tomorrow.

The tours revolve around the following subthemes: Horticulture (2-3 tours), cattle (2 tours), pigs (2 tours), organic farming (2 tours), energy/climate, the cooperative movement, nature conservation, animal welfare, manure, new sales channels, mink and breweries.

All in all, the tours will present numerous opportunities for interesting articles for our many foreign colleagues.

We know that the entry fees of participation is important for many of our participants. We are well ahead in our work with sponsors, and we are therefore relatively certain that attending the congress, which will take place over five days, will be possible at a reasonable price.

If you are interested in following the preparations for the congress, you can follow the progress in the Facebook-group “IFAJ2020”. During October, we will launch the website www.IFAJ2020.dk, where we will gradually post information about the congress, information about the program and the contents of the many tours.
In doing so, we hope that everyone is up to date in terms of participating in the event next year in Denmark when Registrations will open.

Save the dates:

18-21th of June: Pre pre-tour in Sweden

21-24th of June: Pre-tour in Copenhagen / Zeeland

24-29th of June: Main Congress in Vingsted, Jutland

29th of June -3rd of July: Post-tour on Funen

29th of June – 3rd of July: Post-tour in the Faroe Islands
