APPLICATIONS FOR IPARD II PROGRAMME STARTED AS OF 2 JANUARY...

Project applications kicked off within the scope of the Eighth Application Call Announcement of IPARD (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance for Rural Development) II Programme, funded jointly by the EU and the Republic of Turkey for agriculture and rural development. Under this programme 50 million euros grant support will be given to projects for processing and marketing agricultural and fishery products.

The Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK), the related agency of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which mediates the use of IPARD funds had made the Eighth Application Call Announcement on 25 November 2019.

In this framework Project Application and Acceptance Procedures started as of 2 January 2020.

Within the scope of the Eighth Application Call Announcement, applications will be accepted only under the measure "103 Investments in Physical Assets Related to Processing and Marketing of Agricultural and Fisheries Products."

Invesment duration will be no more than 12 months...

In the applications to be prepared within the scope of the Eighth Application Call Announcement, the investment period will be planned as maximum 12 (twelve) months. Information on how to make the installment is given in the Application Call Guide.

The current version of the 2014-2020 IPARD Program can be obtained from the Internet addresses of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (www.tarim.gov.tr) and TKDK (www.tkdk.gov.tr).

Turkish Guild of Agricultural Journalists (TGAJ) organized another international event in Antalya after last year's Middle East Agricultural Journalists Forum held in Istanbul. The Antalya Forum, convened with 35 colleagues from 22 countries, took four days between 04 - 08 November and highlighted the key points of agricultural journalism both abroad and in Turkey. Owen Roberts, President of IFAJ and Hugh Maynard, General Manager of IFAJ also participated in the event.
