The largest Woodworking Machinery Fair of Eurasia, organized by the Association of Woodworking Machinery and Sub-Industry Businessmen (AİMSAD) and Reed Tüyap, will be held between 12-16 October 2019.
AİMSAD General Secretary Arif Onur Kaçak said, "76 thousand people, including 9 thousand foreigners visited the fair, more than 10 thousand foreigners this year, we expect a total of 80 thousand visitors. Despite all the developments in the Woodworking Machinery Sector, it continues to grow."
Stating that WoodTech, which has become an international trading platform that provides access to domestic and international markets, is expected to break the visitor record this year, Kaçak pointed out that all domestic and foreign brands will focus on exports this year.
Kaçak emphasized that Turkey's woodworking machinery industry, in the last four years including 2019, is one of a limited number of sectors having no foreign trade deficit .
"Sector exports in the first eight months of 2019 increased 2.5 times the import of sector products. The ratio of import/export which was 54.8 percent in 2014, has reached the highest level of 239.2 percent in the eight months of 2019," he added.
"Despite the contraction in all sectors, we predict to close 2019 with 100 million dollars of export, 50 million dollars of import and 280 million dollars of production under the influence of fairs. Based on these figures, 2020 by showing an increase of 5 percent to 10 percent, I think the rise will continue where we left," he concluded...
