Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association Chairman Hayrettin Uçak said that they do not expect a decline in mandarin exports, though low yield, quality is good enough.
According to the “Aegean Region Citrus Yield” study, which was commissioned by the Aegean Agricultural Research Institute, Satsuma mandarin yield was 169 thousand tons last year and 122 thousand tons this year. "This will affect our exports positively. Exchange rates also make our exporters competitive. Under these conditions, we are expecting an export season in which the faces of our producers and exporters are smiling," Uçak noted.
