TİKA PROVIDES GREENHOUSES TO 50 FAMILIES IN MONTENEGRO...
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) provided greenhouses to 50 families to support vegetable cultivation in the Sancak region in the northern part of Montenegro.
According to a written statement from TIKA, 50 farmers families were provided with greenhouses in the Sancak region, which is dominated by Bosniak and Albanian families, as part of the "Support for Cover Culture" project.
In the representative delivery ceremony held in the city of Biyelo Polye, the Mayor of Biyelo Polye, Abaz Dizdarevic, Deputy Mayor Nermin Becirovic, TIKA Podgorica Program Coordinator Muhammed Ünal and families in need attended.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Abaz Dizdarevic thanked TIKA for the many projects he has implemented in the field of agriculture.
Pointing out the importance of reaching these supports to those living in rural areas where agriculture is the main source of income, Dizdarevic said that everyone is working together to improve the living conditions of farmers and contributed to the creation of a sustainable life by preventing migrations in the region.

With the agricultural projects implemented by TIKA since 2010, projects have been realized for the development of fruit growing for approximately 320 farmer families in Montenegro, support for greenhouses for 135 families, and establishment of a micro-based olive processing plant for olive oil production under hygienic conditions and modern technology.
TİKA has reached more than 2,000 people through rural development projects.
