EIB establishes Young Exporters Council...
The Aegean Exporters' Association (EIB) is setting up the EIB Young Exporters Council in order to raise up the number of young exporters.
According to the decision adopted on Board of Directors of the Aegean Exporters' Association, in the first place under the age of 45 in the EIB Board of Directors will take part in the Council.
Aegean Exporters Association Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi said that there exists 83 thousand exporters within Turkey, but the aim is take this figure to 120 thousand in 2023.
"We want to make the largest contribution to the number of exporters from Aegean Region" he stated.
Eskinazi also explained: "TIM Women's Council has been constituted by Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) in order to increase the number of women exporters in every field. At present 18 women exporters out of 55 are from Aegean Exporters Association."
Young people will focus on e-exports...
Eskinazi informed that there are 46 exporters under the age of 45 on the Board of Directors of Aegean Exporters Associations. “Young names are taking part in the management of all 12 union of exporters within the EIB. The way they do business in the digitalizing world is changing. E-commerce stands out as we all know, young people will play a leading role in e-exports enabling quicker adaptation to Turkey's export target to reach" he added.
"We will endeavor to grow the number of young exporters. Meanwhile Turkish Eximbank recently launched a very meaningful loan program called 'Young Entrepreneur Export Support Loan' for young exporters. With these supports to be given to young entrepreneurs will attain its targets much easier easier" he concluded.
