Hurşit Nallı: Our sapling export has increased 40 times in the last 8 years!

Hurşit Nallı, President of the Sapling Producers Sub-Union (FÜAB), stated that Turkey has been exporting seedlings to the European countries where the seedlings were imported until 10 years ago. "While our supling exports in 2010 were 0.9 million dollars, this value in 2018 reached 40 million dollars. It is necessary to support the supling producer and export in order to increase the competitiveness of the sector in the international market and even reach the export target of 100 million dollars as soon as possible" he said.

Nallı also noted: "Suplings done in conjunction with international standards of production, especially in the last 10 years in Turkey, orchards and fruit gardens created by native saplings of which imports worth 7.5 million dollars in 2010, while it was only 2.3 million dollars in 2018.

"We have begun to export to Europe, USA and Turkic republics demanded varities of fruits and thanks to quality sapling production. On the other hand we have been keeping in good relations with Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Ministry of Commerce along with embassies of target countries in order to be able to boost our sapling exports" Hurşit Nallı added.
