Stating on the 4. Egg Summit, Central Union of Egg Producers (YUM-BİR) Member and Press Spokesperson Derya Pala said that the Turkish egg industry attaches importance to improving the production infrastructure and the quality of more than ever.
YUM-BİR Board Member Derya Pala said: "The egg sector wants to maintain its place in the world egg production. On the one hand Turkey's egg production, consumption and exports increased, on the other hand diverse problems, rising costs, the sustainability of production experienced in competition in export markets make it very difficult. In addition, the demands of producers bring up different breeding methods and necessitate a change and transformation in the sector."
"On the other hand, the consumers want to make sure that the eggs that come to their tables are healthy and high quality, under which conditions the eggs are produced, which feeds of chickens are fed, how they are treated and shelter conditions. In short, everything changes from production to marketing. It is not possible to continue production without adapting to new conditions" she added.
"For this reason, as the Central Union of Egg Producers, we will discuss the developments in the production and management of egg industry, sustainability, poultry health, new approaches in preventive medicine and treatment, poultry welfare, input prices, consumer trends, egg marketing, how we can compete inside and outside. We are organizing the 4th Egg Summit with the theme 'Protein for Life' in Antalya between 7-10 November 2019. We will be at the summit with manufacturers, suppliers and decision makers. We will discuss the journey of the egg from production to consumption. ”
