FRUIT JUICE AND CONCENTRATE EXPORTS KEEP ON INCREASING...

According to data of Istanbul Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, fruit juice and concentrate exports increased by 2.8 percent in the first 6 months of this year from 144.3 million dollars to 148.4 million dollars.

While Turkey in the same period of last year exporting 85.1 thousand tons of fruit juice and concentrate, the said figure reached 95.6 thousand tons in the first half of this year.

The most exported products were apple juice and concentrate, grape juice and concentrate, pineapple juice and concentrate and different and new product types were included in the foreign sales compared to previous years.

55.3 million dollars of exports made to the United States which takes a considerable share from fruit juice and concentrate in the first half of this year.

Thus 77 percent increase took place in this area compared to the same period last year. Corresponding to 37 percent, this figure with the export of Turkey's total exports in the first half, more than one third was made to the United States. The amount of fruit juice and concentrate exports to the United States increased 156 percent from 14.5 thousand tons to 37.1 thousand tons.

The US was followed by the Netherlands with 20.6 million dollars, South Korea with 8.7 million dollars, Italy with 7.1 million dollars and England with 4.8 million dollars.
