FATMA ŞAHİN: GASTROANTEP WILL BE ORGANIZED BETWEEN 12-15 SEPTEMBER 2019

Fatma Şahin, Mayor of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, in her statement, said that they will tell about not only Gaziantep's kebab, lahmacun and baklava but also development of a city in the International Gaziantep Gastronomy Festival (Gastroantep) which will be held for the second time this year.

The 2nd International Gaziantep Gastronomy Festival introductory meeting, which will be organized on 12-15 September, in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality of Gaziantep and Gaziantep Development Foundation (GAGEV), was held in Istanbul.

Şahin: We hosted the most powerful civilizations

Speaking at the meeting, Mayor Fatma Şahin said: "I have brought greetings to all of you from our country's capital of flavour which hosted the most powerful civilizations with 5 ancient cities in history. In fact, an old story as much as the history of humanity came to Istanbul. Kebab, lahmacun and baklava we are not here to tell. This is an Anatolian development, a city of development will tell you what our goals are."

Şahin, who gave information about Gaziantep to the participants with the presentation, noted that she wanted to create awareness with Gaziantep's industry, trade and qualified manpower.

"Gaziantep is located in the middle of the fertile crescent. Our province is a very important logistics base between Southeastern Anatolia and the Eastern Mediterranean region" she added...
