In Europe, while Turkey's exports in the first place, Middle East countries consist of main export markets of seafood and animal products industry.

1 billion 51 million dollars part of 2 billion 305 million US dollars of foreign currency export earnings through fisheries and animal products sector obtained from Middle East countries.

Indicating that exports of poultry, eggs and dairy products have the weight in the Middle Eastern countries, Aegean Seafood and Animal Products Exporters' Association Chairman of the Board Bedri Girit said that they want to maintain and strengthen their position in the Middle East market.

Demand for high quality products...

Stating that they participated in Abu Dhabi Sial Middle East 2019 Exhibition for the second time regarding this purpose Girit noted, "United Arab Emirates (UAE) is an important country with its geography and population of high purchasing power and also per capita. UAE, while it is a small country has reached the national income of 48 thousand dollars. They have a strong quality product request. Meanwhile Turkey in both aquaculture and poultry industry, as well as in dairy products produces extremely high quality products. So chances of growth in this market is very high."

Halal certificate required...

Pointing out that Dubai and Abu Dhabi provide investors with great opportunities and advantages, Girit continued as follows; “Dubai and Abu Dhabi are very attractive for our exporters who want to grow in the Middle East market. UAE re-export trade in the direction of the development effort. It is the most stable and safe country in the East Africa-Middle East-Near Asia region. We believe that we will reach out to new target markets in the UAE. Trade was increasing interest in our hopes for Turkish products. which are compulsory in the context of food security 'Health Certificate' as well as all beef and poultry products regulated in the country of origin that is cut according to Islamic rules. We advise our exporters to get Halal certification wishing to export to these markets."

In Sial Middle East 2019 Exhibition, the Ambassador of Turkey to UAE Can Dizdar and Commercial Counselor Işıl Deniz paid a visit to Turkish stand.
