DAVUT ER: PRODUCTION AND EXPORT OF OLIVE OIL WILL INCREASE IN COLLABORATION

The Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters' Association Chairman Davut Er said that exports of Aydın province reached to 654 million dollars in 2019.

Davut Er also underlined that Aydın province is the leading region by having the largest olive tree population with 25 million out of 181 million across Turkey.

Stating that the share of olive and olive oil industry in Aydın was 28 million dollars in 2019, Er noted, "This year is the most productive season of recent periods. Our association exported to 94 countries in the January-March period of 2020 and provided foreign currency input of 46 million dollars. We do not watch the problems caused by the coronavirus outbreak in the trade flow."
