Approach of all world is a market...

Speaking on behalf of UİB at the opening of the event, Uludağ Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association Vice Chairman of the Board Dr. Senih Yazgan said, "We care about this seminar, that is organized to learn about Africa, which offers great opportunities especially for our exporters looking for an alternative market and to develop our export strategy to Africa. Our Association provides organizations such as national participation, fairs, trade procurement committees with various countries to enable our exporters to reach new markets. Our Association is making great efforts to increase our trade volume and to improve business opportunities. Our exporters now accept not only a single market but also everywhere in the world and work with this understanding."

Trade volume between Turkey and Kenya is 240 million dollars...

Information about Kenya was given in the seminar section which took place after Yazgan's speech. Kenyan Ambassador Johnson Mogoa Kimani Ondieki emphasized that Turkey and Kenya are in good relations in terms of investment and business potential.

Pointing out that there is a growing trade volume especially in recent years, Ambassador Ondieki added, “There is a trade volume of 240 million dollars between the two countries. There are many opportunities in Kenya in the fields of energy, construction, infrastructure, food and health. The negative perceptions about Africa and Kenya do not reflect the reality. We are in a serious development in terms of agriculture and telecommunications. Our people's quality of life is increasing day by day. Thus, Kenya is a very attractive country in terms of investment for Turkey and also for other foreign countries. Besides Kenya has an unexplored, untouched potential. In particular, the income of the middle class is increasing. These also cause the need for housing. We need 500 thousand new houses. Considering the suitability of supports and incentives, Kenya is the new favourite of investors."
