KIRKLARELİ UNIVERSITY WILL SPECIALIZE IN FOOD WITHIN THE SCOPE OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT...
Within the scope of "Regional Development Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project" of Higher Education Council (YÖK), 5 new universities were announced. Kırklareli University will specialize in Food, Artvin Coruh University in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Yozgat Bozok University in Industrial Hemp.
YÖK Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan who made an information presentation about the project at the meeting. Dr. Naci Gündoğan gave an overview of the current status of the project and shared information about the selection process of 5 new universities for the project.
Expectations from specialized universities...
Speaking after the presentation, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Yekta Saraç said that their expectations from universities are to develop “Targeted Socio-Economic Research Programs” in the field of specialization given to them and to provide meaningful values for the development of the region.

After his speech, YÖK President Yekta Saraç announced 5 newly selected universities and their specialization areas.
Artvin Coruh University “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants”, Bartın University “Smart Logistics and Integrated Region Applications”, Hitit University “Machinery and Manufacturing Technologies”, Kırklareli University “Food”, Yozgat Bozok University “Industrial Hemp” as “Regional Development Focused Universities” chosen. With the participation of 5 new universities announced, the number of universities covered by the project increased to 15.
