Food sales in open area has been prohibited within İzmir metropolitan region.

Within the scope of the measures taken to prevent the coronavirus epidemic, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality banned the sale of food in open area.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to fight against the coronavirus epidemic, which threatens the whole world. The Metropolitan has prohibited the sale of food in the open under the circulars against the coronavirus by the Presidency.

After the ban, the teams affiliated to the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Police Department started to inspect places that sell food. The teams first inform the businesses operating in the fields of duty, authority and responsibility of the Metropolitan so that they do not have any food materials on the road or on the sidewalk. Measures to be taken to businesses and rules to be followed are explained.

Necessary legal procedures are applied to businesses that do not comply with the rules.
