One of the most preferred tastes in the gastronomic city of Gaziantep in recent years, the ‘chickpea wrap' (Nohut dürümü) now shakes the throne of kebab!

The chickpea wrap, which can be consumed at any time of the day, stands out as the indispensable of its regulars with its taste and reasonable price.

The chickpea wrap that will be introduced in the 2nd GastroAntep International Gastronomy Festival to be held in Gaziantep on September 12-15, shakes the throne of kebab varieties with the price of 6 lira.

Ahmet Kesen, the manager of Master Recep (known as master of this wrap- Dürümcü Recep Usta) enterprise, who has been selling chickpea wraps since 1977 in Gaziantep, said that although there are many types of kebabs chickpea wraps are preferred most.

“Chickpea wrap is completely natural”

Kesen concluded, “We, as Dürümcü Recep Usta, have been making chickpea wraps for two generations since 1977. Chickpea wrap is a completely natural dish without additives. This dish is especially preferred and loved by the people of the region. Our citizens who came from outside also enjoy though some find strange at first but they also like it later on."
