General Director of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) Özkan Kayacan said that newly developed corn varieties received great appeciation in the 'Field Day' held by Bahri Dağdaş International Agricultural Research Institute...

Giving information about the studies carried out Kayacan, stated:

"We have friends who produce much more quality jobs than foreign companies. Who dominates food dominates the world. To achieve this, there must be successful organizations in seed production. At this point, the private sector makes successful works. In our country, the first studies are usually carried out by the state and then to the private sector. As TAGEM, we are conducting many joint R & D projects with the private sector. We grow much higher quality domestic varieties at the point reached. Six new varieties of silage and grain maize have reached a beautiful point. Our only concern is to increase domestic and national production and to improve our country."

In the field of institute, developed by institutes affiliated to TAGEM; Corn varieties named AGA, Hacıbey (ADA 9516), ADA 523, SAMADA 07, ADA 351 and SİDE were introduced.
