Quality milk comes with training...
Pınar Süt Chairman of the Board İdil Yiğitbaşı evaluated the sector at the World Dairy Summit organized by the International Dairy Federation held in Istanbul for the first time this year.
Stating that over 7 thousand producers have been trained in the last 5 years by the Pınar Institute, Idil Yiğitbaşı said, "We have been improving the quality of milk and undertaking a compass task for dairy sector in Turkey. We attach importance to the preferences of our consumers with our product range as the movement of healthy living is rising in whole world."
The World Dairy Summit, organized by the International Dairy Federation every year in a different country, is being held in Istanbul this year. Speaking at the summit with the theme of 'Milk for Life', İdil Yiğitbaşı touched on the trainings and milk quality offered to producers and evaluated the sector.

Sharing the information that the development model implemented by Pınar Milk along with 18 thousand producers and 31 cooperatives, while the sustainable nutrition of world population approaching 8 billion being discussed at the summit, İdil Yiğitbaşı said, "With the Pınar Institute, we have been providing animal health, animal nutrition and hygiene trainings to more than 7 thousand producers in 13 different provinces in the last 5 years. We improve the quality of milk through this support and undertake an compass task for Turkish dairy industry."
Expressing that conscious and educated producers play a key role in the development of the dairy sector, Yiğitbaşı also noted, “The importance of food safety has been strengthened. We must act together as dairy producers, cooperatives and milk processing industry to ensure that our consumers have access to healthy and reliable food. While there are so many hungry people in the world, we consider the importance of population growth and access to healthy and quality food, we should try to prevent waste in every field."
Yiğitbaşı underlined that the sector should listen out to the changing consumer habits and noted, “The new generation is composed of very sensitive and conscious consumers about healthy living. I think it is necessary to focus on this point in the development journey of the sector and give importance to the sensitivities of consumers."

Pointing out that they have achieved important social responsibility projects which bring together the new generation with milk, she added, "We have been giving a hand the 'Milk Lamb' project since 2011 across Turkey. We are continuing our efforts to bring our children with quality milk to raise a healthier generation."
