BÜLENT TUNÇ: A COUNTRY SHOULD BE SELF-SUFFICIENT IN FOOD AND AGRICULTURE
Chairman of Turkey Red Meat Producers' Association Bülent Tunç said that a country should be self-sufficient today in terms of agricultural and food industry.

Pointing out that the importance of making plans regarding this point has been widely understood in these days, Bülent Tunç also added, "Instead of talking about the problems of production and few producers and producing solutions, we create an agenda for ourselves, whether it is cheaper or more expensive here. Therefore farmers stopped producing. It is okay for large businesses to be in our country, but we need to ensure that small family businesses, those in their own village, can continue their work. In these and similar situations, we see that countries are left on their own. Even among the provinces, transportation is coming to troubled points, let it be imported between countries."
"Mistakes being awared"
Noting that the value of domestic production has been redefined in recent years and small family producers have become prominent in agricultural policies, Tunç emphasized that this model should be further strengthened.
