Prof. Dr. Senih Yazgan, Vice President of Uludağ Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association, said that the novel coronavirus process is an opportunity to learn a very important lesson for the whole world. Noting that the importance of being adequate and ready, especially in health, education and food, has been re-experienced, Yazgan stated, "Agriculture is an essential element for a country to exist. He taught us that we should shape agriculture with a more scientific and modern approach, without giving up, with intense effort."


Explaining that the production of "strategic" products and the value of the industrial products obtained from them were seen once again in this period, "Even if it is not economical, a new policy should be developed in order to benefit from the industrial products to be obtained from them," Yazgan added.

Pointing out that there are many difficulties in the accessibility to the countries in terms of exports during this process, Yazgan said, "Turkey might be advantageous after this period through some steps being taken."

"We expect that we will see the decrease of the disease with the increase in temperatures in May and that exports can be opened. It is necessary to act patiently. This situation can be turned into an opportunity for the European Union in production, as the export starts with our full capacity in May and the field production comes into play.
