Turkey's largest worm farming production located in Efeler district of Aydın province was created in Kardeşköy neighborhood.
The owner of the business, producing worms and worm fertilizers for 10 years, Dr. Cezmi Saday said that worm production and worm manure are very important for organic agriculture.
Saday stated, "Turkey is an organic waste paradise, we have this worm farms in the organic waste by biological waste, grass mowed by municipalities, paper waste, chemical waste arising from a number of industrial cites digested through Red California Worms and produce a highly valuable fertilizer. I personally call such worms as Anatolian Worms because they live around here. Besides they are easily produced in this country."
Noting that worms are fed with waste, “After we pass all these wastes from a certain composition, we feed them to worms. The digestive system of these worms is like natural bionano technology. It contains enzymes, hormones and vitamins. Like a mechanical mill. This fertilizer, which was thrown as the last stool passing through the worm's digestive system, is the most valuable fertilizer in the world at the moment. This fertilizer, which is indispensable for organic farming, is extremely valuable. Such enterprises are the locomotives of good agriculture and organic agriculture. These worms are very valuable creatures in terms of the protein and amino acid quality they contain," Saday added.
Pointing out that the worm manure is used in many areas of the agricultural sector, Saday concluded, “When used in organic poultry and organic fishing, you produce very high quality chicken meat, chicken eggs and fish. Pharmaceutical sector in the third field besides agriculture and animal husbandry. It is also very important in the pharmaceutical industry. As a pharmaceutical raw material, the worm is a very valuable animal. Of course, these are possible with high technology. China and the USA are doing this very well in the world. It is a very good breeding with worm manure in soils that completely lose its life. It is possible to produce projects related to worm manure. It is very serious if this application is made in the lands that lost their lives in terms of agriculture in Anatolia. In these soils, healing and fertility are observed. This production has been around the world for 50 years. An activity carried out in China, Cuba, USA and many countries of Europe."
